Summary
Gemma has a vision and is led to he caves that border the school grounds. While there she finds a diary written 25 years ago by a 16 year old girl named Mary Dowd. Mary also attended Spence Academy and also seemed to have he same visions as Gemma. Mary's friend Sarah Reese-Toome also suffered from these visions. Through the diary Gemma learns of a group called the Order and thinks that her visions are linked to them. Members of the Order possessed powers of prophecy and could also open doors between the human world and other realms. Gemma, Felicity, Pippa and Ann decide to create their own Order in the caves to escape from the dull lives that they are expected to lead.

Honestly, while reading about this it scared me a bit. The fact that people are eligible to contact people from other realms is odd. In reality the world we live in the only way to escape the place we are is by dreams or vacationing. Gemma is given the power of being able to see things into the future. Rather then be worried it she is calm and so are her two friends. I feel that she is okay with it because it can link her to her mom, and written in the diary is a girls personal experience who also mentions another girls.
ReplyDeleteHer visions reminded me of That's So Raven. I find it so weird that she is able to experience that. I sometimes wish I was able to have the ability to have visions about what would happen in the future. I think it would be really cool.
ReplyDeleteHahaa, Amanda I was going to include the "Thats So Raven" part also but I dont actually know why I didn't . I can only imagine what it feels like to have these visions. The only way we can have visions are in our dreams that may one day turn into a reality
ReplyDeleteOMG Amanda I though of That's So raven also. I thought I was the only one. HAHA. I think that it's really cool that she has these visions also, but its weird. Because obviously this doesn't happen in real life. SOmetimes while reading I would imagine what it would be like if I was able to see visions.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with what you guys said. Reading Sarah's diary was really scary to me. I honestly found all the stories a little creepy. I couldn't imagine being Gemma and dealing with everything that she is going through. I see how it could also be really cool to have the visions and use the magic, but not when there could be this much danger. Also, since Gemma isn't familiar with how to use the magic or about what will happen, she might not know how to control the dangers she might face.
